Ryans’ plea awakens Texans' defense in 2nd halfTitans are held to 88 yards, FG in last two quartersNASHVILLE, Tenn. — At halftime of the Texans’ 31-12 loss to the Tennessee Titans, middle linebacker DeMeco Ryans made an impassioned plea to his defense. He implored them to do what they came to LP Field to accomplish. Against the Titans’ run-oriented, ball-control offense, the Texans gave up three touchdowns in the first half and fell behind 24-12. “I just talked to the guys and reminded them of what we were supposed to do, and they responded the way I thought they would,” said Ryans, who led the team with 13 tackles, 10 unassisted.
