MOBILE, Ala. - DeMeco and the South squad took the pads off on Thursday and practiced in shells as they continue to show their value to NFL scouts and coaches. Much of the practice session centered on fine tuning the game plan for Saturday's game but their was still plenty of opportunities for DeMeco and his teammates to impress those in attendance.

In what is certainly not a coincidence, DeMeco was isolated once again today on wide receivers and running backs in pass routes. And like the times before he provided tight coverage, jumping a few routes and defending passes. As one NFL scout with the N.Y. Giants said, "He's not the fastest but he sure is around the football all the time. In our business sometimes we focus on how they got there and not the fact that they got there. When it comes down to it, being there is what its all about. And it sure seems like Ryans is always there." Comments like those should erase any doubts NFL scouts and coaches have on DeMeco's ability to cover NFL backs and receivers.

The South team will have a one hour walk-through Friday morning beginning at 10:30 a.m. focusing on the game plan and special teams. At 1:30, DeMeco and his teammates will visit children at the University of South Alabama's Children's and Women's Center.

Kickoff for Saturday's Senior Bowl game is set for 3:00 p.m and will be televised by ESPN. Check back for pre and post game comments from DeMeco.
