NBC Sports Puts DeMeco on List of NFL's Smartest LB's

NBCsports.com NFL writer Tom Curran last week named DeMeco as the NFL's fifth smartest linebacker. Ryans was the only rookie to make the list with Jonathan Vilma of the Jets being the closest veteran with 3 seasons in the league. - Jim Morris

This is a fun but tough category because so many linebackers are deserving of consideration. Our top five isn’t based on book smarts, although all these guys have that. It’s based on being able to read plays, play without hesitation, get people lined up, be intuitive and cover for teammates missteps.
