Giving hope that changes lives

He made his impact on the field by compiling some of the best defensive numbers in twenty years all on his way to receiving the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. Now, DeMeco is working to make an impact off the field.

Last week he partnered with GivingFlite to record public service announcements that will spread awareness of the Birmingham non-profit flying service. GivingFlite arranges free air transportation when traditional air transportation is unavailable, impractical or simply unaffordable. Pilots with GivingFlite donate their aircraft, fuel and time to get people to doctor’s appointments or hospitals.
