Scouting Combine A month since playing his last football game as an amatuer, Demeco left the warmth and sunny skies of Arizona on Saturday for the cool and windy confines of Indianapolis and the NFL Scouting Combines. Demeco joins over 300 invitees at this year's combines, all hoping to impress NFL front office staff and improving their status going into April's draft.

This year's combine schedule is different than some of the past with linebacker's and defensive backs working out on Tuesday.First on the agenda for  Demeco and his fellow linebackers is a welcome dinner hosted by Jeff Foster of National Combine Inc.  National Combine Inc. is the mastermind of the NFL Combines and have turned a player's showcase into a national event. After the welcome dinner, the players will have a short night as they awake at 6 a.m. for drug testing before heading over to the RCA Dome for for height, weight, hands and arm length measurements and then physicals. A process that is not only mentally taxing but also physically. With so many invitees attending this year's combines long lines are a certain.

DeMeco RyansBIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A week filled with the rat race of completing questionnaires and interviews for NFL teams came to an end yesterday as the 58th Annual Senior Bowl capped the all-star week for Demeco. In a game that was closer than the 31-14 final score indicated, Demeco racked up 3 tackles for the South squad. But the Senior Bowl was more about the week leading up to the game and not the game itself.

MOBILE, Ala. - DeMeco and the South squad took the pads off on Thursday and practiced in shells as they continue to show their value to NFL scouts and coaches. Much of the practice session centered on fine tuning the game plan for Saturday's game but their was still plenty of opportunities for DeMeco and his teammates to impress those in attendance.

In what is certainly not a coincidence, DeMeco was isolated once again today on wide receivers and running backs in pass routes. And like the times before he provided tight coverage, jumping a few routes and defending passes. As one NFL scout with the N.Y. Giants said, "He's not the fastest but he sure is around the football all the time. In our business sometimes we focus on how they got there and not the fact that they got there. When it comes down to it, being there is what its all about. And it sure seems like Ryans is always there." Comments like those should erase any doubts NFL scouts and coaches have on DeMeco's ability to cover NFL backs and receivers.
