STORMS/AIRPORT SECURITY CAUSE DELAYSDeMeco's journey to D.C. for a meeting with Joe Gibbs and staff was pushed back one day after his flights from Birmingham and Atlanta were postponed. Finally, after spending most of the day in the Atlanta airport, DeMeco boarded a flight for Washington. Barring additional set backs, Ryans is scheduled to meet with the Redskins this morning. Updates to follow. |

DeMeco met with first year head coach Rod Marinelli of the Detroit Lions on Tuesday in what has been a busy week leading up to the NFL Draft on April 29. Detroit is the third team Ryans has visited at team headquarters. Earlier he made the trip to New England before venturing to Minnesota last Friday. While the interview process requires a lot of travel, DeMeco says the treatment he's received by team personnel has made it easier. "I really appreciate them being honest." Ryans explains, "They tell you how you would fit into their system, tell you what their number one priority is in the draft and show you how you could fit in if you're still on the board. They don't fill you up with false promises." |

Alabama LB Ryans visits BY DON SEEHOLZER The Vikings wrapped up their first week of pre-draft visits Friday as Alabama linebacker DeMeco Ryans and another small group of prospects toured Winter Park.
